Dr. Suzie Carmack Communication Mystic

Master the Practice of Life Story Medicine

Our life stories are full of plot twists — some we welcome and some we wish had never arrived. But you have the power to heal what they mean for you when you practice Life Story Medicine.

Hi, I'm Dr. Suzie Carmack

Communication Mystic
Dr. Suzie Carmack

I have been blessed to play many roles in my life — as a wife, a mother, and now a grandmother — and in my work, as a performing artist, professor, yoga teacher trainer, author, leadership coach and communication scientist. But the role I have come to be known for is communication mystic: someone who believes we can heal our life story from any plot twist when we know how to combine the art of story-telling with the science of health communication.

That is what I call Life Story Medicine, and I would love to share it with you. This framework is inspired by a lifetime of research and study of everything from yoga philosophy to somatic practices to psychoneuroimmunology (the science of the connection between our biography and our biology) and real-life experience healing my own life story through the plot twists of grief, chronic illness, and betrayal to create a life story now filled with passion, purpose and prosperity.

So if you are curious about what my Life Story Medicine framework can do for you and your clients, I invite you to join me in my online studio (to apply the tools in your life) and/or in my upcoming live workshop (to learn how you can share these tools with your clients). Because the world needs more humans who know how to heal their own life story from the inside out. And you are divinely designed for a life of passion, purpose and prosperity too.

Meet Life Story Medicine

Because your biography becomes your biology.

I Act One · Self and Self
Rewrite the Scripts The stories you hold in your body. Find the internal monologues you inherited and never chose — and rewrite them into hope, compassion, purpose and meaning. This is the intrapersonal communication work that examines the scripts we want to keep and the ones we want to let go of, to heal our life story.
II Act Two · Self and Other
Step Into the Lead Role The roles you play every day. True leadership is not about always being centre stage. It is about co-creating meaning in every scene you find yourself in, including the plot twists you never saw coming. In Act Two we learn how to show up authentically as leaders in every role we play in the daily scenes of our work and our life.
III Act Three · Self and World
Heal with Presence The performance of your lifetime. In Act Three we activate our divine and innate healing power in the day-to-day living of our life story. We also learn how our own activation creates a ripple effect in our life and our work, accelerating the ability of our loved ones and our clients to heal their own life story.
